Biggleswade – class 2 driver
Location(s):
Biggleswade
Closing Date:
Clark & Rose are currently seeking Class 2 drivers to fill full-time vacancies based at our Biggleswade Depot. We are looking for applicants of good character, physically fit and smartly presented. Ideal candidates will need to be cheerful and hard-working, with a full clean Class 2 driving licence as an essential qualification. A valid passport is needed should you wish to get involved in the European moving side of the business. Previous removals experience is preferable, but not essential, as full training will be provided at our in-house training centre.
Hours of work each day are varied according to work volumes, and there will likely be nights away from home and travelling around the country. However, if you are looking to work as part of a team where every day is different, then this could be the job for you.
There is scope for progression within the company, with many of our long serving team leader’s having started without experience and have been promoted so they are now running their own removal jobs every day.
Pay varies depending on what level of driving licence you hold. The advertised salary is for work on your guaranteed hours Monday – Friday, with Saturday overtime paid at 1.5x your standard rate. There are also options for full time staff to undergo additional training in more complex areas of the removal business, thus raising their hourly rate.
Staff have the option to join the Company Share Scheme. Company sick pay, additional holiday, life insurance and private medical insurance are offered to all staff once they reach the qualifying period of employment.
We look forward to hearing from you!
