The 2024 FIDI Conference, held in Edinburgh from May 12 to 15, brought together industry leaders and professionals from the global relocation sector. Set against the stunning backdrop of Edinburgh’s rich history and culture, the conference offered a blend of business sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities.
Graeme Lorimer and Phil Stewart from Clark & Rose were very much in attendance. Phil who is our National Development Director and a talented bagpipe player piped in the FIDI Board to the roll call meeting which heralds the start of the conference. Phil was accompanied by his bandmates from The Doune Pipe Band and it’s fair to say got the proceedings off to a suitably rousing start in his role as Pipe Sergeant for the band.
A key focus of the conference was on industry trends, particularly workforce expectations which highlighted the need for companies to adapt to the evolving needs of the younger generation.
Aside from the whisky tasting which Clark & Rose hosted for international partners at The Scotch Malt Whisky Society, the highlight of the week was the gala dinner, where delegates relaxed, celebrated, and strengthened relationships. The FIDI Conference continues to serve as an essential platform for networking and collaboration, sparking innovation within the industry.
The 2024 event in Edinburgh not only provided valuable industry insights but also left the Clark and Rose team inspired and ready to apply their new knowledge. The company remains committed to innovation and excellence, anticipating further growth and collaboration at future conferences.
Looking ahead, excitement is already building for the 2025 FIDI Conference in Dubrovnik, Croatia, which promises to deliver further industry insight and professional development for the team and its clients.
